Mother’s Day Grand Prize Giveaway – Something for You AND Her!

Mother’s Day Grand Prize Giveaway – Something for You AND Her!

My twenty-something sister loves its ability to store her license, credit card and iPhone discreetly in the back pocket without having to lug around a heavy purse. She can head out the door with style and function in the lux Posh Poppet cardigan. As a thirty year old first time mom, my schedule is very different. I work from home, and instead of bar hopping I’m just hoping to have one free hand – and one free hour! - at any given time. A perfect day for me is taking a long walk with the jogging stroller, then meeting a friend for brunch before a busy day in my home office. I’m still nursing my 7 month old, so it’s very difficult to find an outfit that can transition from fitness to food to faxes… while still looking polished. Needless to say, I was thrilled to discover the Charcoal Gray Lotus Poppet. It’s made in America from a bamboo rayon, cotton and spandex blend – which is super soft and stays wrinkle-free. The Pocket Poppet seamlessly transitions from one event to the next because it’s fashionable and easily portable. I can walk a few miles, cover the girls while I nurse, throw my credit card in the pocket and head inside the café with my baby. (The bulky diaper bag stays in the car for those inevitable emergencies!) Feeling hot after your workout? Fold it back up into the wristlet pouch and go about your business. Ain’t nobody got time for multiple wardrobe changes! The chic detailing of the Pocket Poppet gives it blazer-like professionalism, so I’m even comfortable Skyping...

GMA Shark Tank Your Life

GMA Shark Tank Your Life

What a whirlwind of a week! Good Morning America contacted us last Monday to schedule an appearance on Friday morning on the Shark Tank Your Life segment with ‘shark’ Daymond John!  We flew to New York on Thursday and had a 5:30 A.M. call time Friday morning! We hung out in the green room drinking tea until it was time to be whisked off for hair and make-up! I was so fortunate to have the lovely and gracious, three time Emmy award winning make up artist Elena George  fix me up for the appearance (wow!) then back to the green room.  Next, it was time for the first of two rehearsals, which were quite frankly, nerve racking! It’s unbelievable how many people it takes to make the show work and everyone there is so great! I did the first rehearsal and instantly got a ‘wow’ and some ‘oohs’ from the crew as the Poppet popped out of its’ pocket! Karen was there in the wings the whole time, snapping away getting some great photos and being a great business partner and cheerleader to my nerves! Back to the green room again for another short wait, and then off outside to ‘dance’ in the Shark Tank with Morgan from Handbag Raincoats. We were both so nervous and shivering in the chilly New York air, but did what we had to do, when given the cue, with Daymond baiting outside the tank! These were the ‘ teasers’ that they film before the actual segment airs and we went back upstairs and back down again, along with Daymond, to a huge crowd of...
